After my quiet wandering on the shore I made my way to Haverfordwest, passing Picton Castle and making a note to visit when I have enough time to do it justice. I have a leisurely stroll around the town and have a recce to find a good spot from which to take a photo of the castle which dominates the town, that is if you raise your eyes high! I find the spot but it will have to be a morning shot. You may wonder why it is 'Haverfordwest' when there is no 'Haverford', well you will be pleased to know that I can give you elucidation. It was so that the Anglo Normans wouldn't confuse it with Hereford! Perfectly true!
