Lets
go back a few years now to Dylan's first job. He left school at
16 to become a junior reporter for the South Wales Evening Post.
This was something that had to be done of course but Dylan's heart
was always in his poetry. One of the requirements of the job was
picking up bits of news and the pub was an ideal place for that
(why aren't we all reporters?). He quite liked this aspect and
he developed a fondness for beer. He was later assigned to the
job of reviewing more artistic subjects, poetry books and theatre.
It was at this stage that he joined the Swansea Little Theatre
and became addicted to the audience's applause. Both Daniel Jones
and Dylan were regular visitors to the Kardomah cafe where they,
and a group of young artistic intellectuals met. Fittimgly they
were known as the Kardomah Gang.
