I
suppose you could say this was the calm before the storm. I love
the superb tranquility of the flat water and the boat patiently
waiting for the tide to gently lift it from the sand. It was a
changeable day and I saw this from the old bridge so I trekked
over the boggy bank and soggy mud to get nearer. I'm glad I did
because that night I was woken by heavy rain beating on the caravan
roof, at first I was content to smugly listen knowing that, inside
I was dry and safe.
When the wind started getting heavier and the caravan rocked violently
the smugness quickly wore off, but I am doing all this for you,
dear reader, and I bask in your warm gratitude.
