All
around you will see jugs, kettles, crocks and willow pattern crockery
and you just can't help your mind trailing back in time. They
grew their own vegetables here, storing as much as they could
for the winter months, they kept a cow and hens. In those days
non storeable vegetables were eaten in season - no peas, beans,
leeks or cauliflower all the year round and they probably didn't
bother with celery!
