There
are several reasons why this church
is important. Here in this cemetry lie buried many of those lost
when the Royal Charter sank behind the village of Moelfre in October
1895. There was a huge storm that night which caused devastation
as far away as London and the storm caused many deaths. By far
the greatest number of deaths that night were from the Royal Charter
disaster. The second reason for the importance is that it was
my father's first church. In the Rectory, unseen but behind, I
saw the first light of day. So there you are!
