Llanallgo Church

There are several reasons why this church is important. Here in this cemetry lie buried many of those lost when the Royal Charter sank behind the village of Moelfre in October 1895. There was a huge storm that night which caused devastation as far away as London and the storm caused many deaths. By far the greatest number of deaths that night were from the Royal Charter disaster. The second reason for the importance is that it was my father's first church. In the Rectory, unseen but behind, I saw the first light of day. So there you are!
