Beacons Reservoir

The Beacons reservoir after the second batch of snow in January. I had been struggling to get the tripod to straddle the iron perimeter fence and by the time I had it in the right position and secure I took a little break. The view was fine but, as I watched, the hazy sun burst out from behind the thin cloud and threw a lovely clear light on the background. What I was seeing was so stunning that I almost overlooked taking the shot. But I did, of course!
