This is Aberystwyth Castle, built by Edward 1st during the troubles of the late 13th century on the site of an earlier castle. It changed hands in 1404 when Owain Glyndwr captured and held it for four years in 1637 Charles 1st created a Royal Mint here so that means there must also have been a Polo field although it has not yet been located.
