Burry Port Lighthouse

A stub of a lighthouse but very pleasing nonetheless. Despite its serious reason for existence it conveys a certain friendliness. The harbour, like many other harbours around our coastline, exists more for leisure nowadays rather than the export of coal from the inland collieries. Restoration was completed in 1996 and the lighthouse is now run by Carmarthenshire County Council.
