We are under way after a short delay to enable the take on of water, sort of essential really as the Waverley is a paddle steamer. Anyway we are part of a 925 strong band of passengers heading for our first stop at Ilfracombe, for some passengers that will be where they will spend their day and hope to get picked up on the way back! We, however, are going all the way on a voyage of exploration.
