It is from the Foel Tower that Birmingham's water supply starts its journey. The tower is 52 metres higher than the reservoir at Frankley Beeches and therefore dispenses with the need for pumping. Now Frankley Beeches - there's a blast from the past, years ago when I was even younger than I am now I used to go through Frankley Beeches on my way into work at Longbridge.
No offence to anyone but thinking back I rather think that being a photographer in Wales is a much better life!
