Rarely
do we get a decent fall of snow in Swansea being so close to the
sea but the grapevine had told me that there was still snow on
the Brecon Beacons, so with a merry "hang the expense"
I set off in the search for a snowy shot for you Dear Reader.
As if you had not seen enough in the newspapers and on your television
screens. Oh the things I do for you! Anyway I struggled to get
past the distillery at Penderyn (there was a strange magnetic
force) and reached the moorland beyond. To my left there was a
hillside of hedge-bounded fields and skeletal trees creating attractive
patterns and I knew where there was a small lay-by just a head.
Sadly it was also well known to others and I chose to sail past
the interruption of photographers aiming their long lenses at
what should have been my shot ...
