Blue Sky Thinking
It is all too easy when you are out on a walk to keep your eyes maintained in a forward direction and it may indeed be that what you are seeing is enough to provide your visual nourishment. Years ago management-speak gave us 'blue sky thinking' and I always avoided the term but, in the context of appreciating nature, it is an appropriate and valid term. So, remember that next time you are out, especially in a wood. Blue sky thinking - your new motto.
