To get down here you have to walk down a long zig-zag of steps but you keep going because the sound of the falls is getting louder and louder. I hadn't seen anyone on my journey here so I was expecting it all to myself - there were two other photographers here already! I put my tripod and bag down and looked around. I could see straight away that this would ideally be an afternoon shoot because there was a mass of light on the river but the falls were very much in shadow. (actually the more I look at this, the more I think that I am mistaken about that). It was lovely to be here at last and I am pleased with this image. Next time I shall visit in the afternoon perhaps with a bit more cloud in the sky and see how it looks.

Now for the walk back up the steps!
