Borth y Gest is the next bay from Porthmadog, a pretty little place sporting many leisure craft during the season but today only a handful are waiting patiently for their owners to return.
Just beyond that first peninsula is the Italianate village of Portmeirion, just another attraction in this interesting part of Wales.
