This
is the lookout hut for the Worms Head branch of the National Coastwatch
Institute , a group of volunteers that watch out for the safety
of fishermen, pleasure sailors and walkers. Two members are on
duty from 10.00am to 6.00pm and later when the days are really
longer. It is possible to walk to the Worm for a period of 2 1/2
hours either side of low tide and many people do, however it is
easy to misjudge the time so an important part of our duty is
to keep an eye out and try and safeguard those who have made the
crossing.
