It is amazing
what you can find out these days! The limestone that was produced
at this quarry was used in the construction of both Beaumaris
and Caernarfon castles. Behind this structure there are two large
holes but not so large as to suggest that the quarry was in continued
use from the mid 1280s and the early part of the 20th century.
There are many structures such as this around the coast of Anglesey.
