As
you can see from the title this is St
Seiriol's Well, I don't think that we can possibly say that
this dates back to the 6th century nevertheless it was thought
to have healing powers and was visited by the sick and infirm.
In 1811 the well was recorded as 'formerly in good repute' - does
this mean that at that time it was no longer deemed so?
There
are many wells such as this all over Wales and whether they have
any potent powers or not can only be a matter of 'whatever floats
your boat.' Judging by the coins glistening under the water it
is quite clear that some believe that it can make wishes come
true.
We can however say that St Seirio's well now!
