When I arrived at the car park there was great excitement and I must admit I was momentarily wondering whether they were aware of just who I was. Anyway it turned out that it was not me they were excited about but these ponies who suddenly trotted in to the car park from the forest road. A lady was quite animated by it all and as I was taking this photograph was trying to ask me if I knew the person to 'phone. Well of course I didn't but I always thought they wandered free so why should anyone be concerned.
They left plenty of fertilizer for any keen gardener who had the foresight to bring a shovel and bucket!
