And here it
is, a nice compact little scene with that brave house guarding
the bridge's western flank from marauders threatening from the
west. Actually if you arrive at Menai Bridge by means of this
bridge you will see a branch of Waitrose and just after that there
is a car park with a path leading through the woods which brings
you down here. It's a lovely, hidden away treat. The promenade
you can see is the
Belgian Promenade built in 1916 by Belgian refugees who were
accommodated at Menai Bridge
