There is a bookshop in St Davids with two rooms packed with books, many of them on local history. It takes up two floors so it sounds quite sizeable but don't let me fool you, to give a more honest description I would call it compact nevertheless it is a treasure trove. I managed to give my credit card quite a bit of excitement because books really are my achilles heel! But they provide knowlege to fire the imagination. Amongst others I bought a book on the history of Porthgain, just like the shop the book is small but crammed with information explaining the growth of this intriguing village.
