Just down
the lane from Druidstone Haven, after passing Nolton Haven - another
cove with its own public house, we have Newgale. This is a most
popular spot especially when you have some excesses to walk off,
a long stretch of sand in a right angle of St Brides Bay. Newgale
was devastated two years ago when high seas breached the pebble
defence wall that rises above the road. But today the beach has
been populated by children, parents, grandparents and, every now
and then, the odd photographer. This scene was taken on the 28th
December - so who says they dread the coming of winter - we still
get good days, and there's more room for the adventurous!
