This is a
westerly beach and therefore a catchment area for various flotsam
and jetsam and you just never know what interesting objects you
will see. When I visited nothing of interest had been washed ashore,
the local beachcombers had beaten me to it. However I did come
across this barnacle breasted mermaid who had been caught in difficult
currents and now struggling to extricate herself from this pool.
Ever the chivalrous gentleman I tucked her under my arm and carefully
conveyed her into the foaming surf. She gratefully swam away.
I, naturally came out of the situation soaking wet but there we
are - 'if you can help somebody' and all that!
