Most of what you see in the top third of this image is actually England, the river forming the boundary being out of sight. I am indebted to a very kind lady for an invitation to use the vantage point for this image. Unfortunately there was some work being done on the castle involving some scaffolding at the time of my visit so I was prevented from showing more of the castle walls which are extremely impressive.
