March
the first, St Davids Day and the daffodils are out already. Spring
is, we hope, on the way, we remember with fondness last March
which we thought was going to be the first of many months of warm
sunshine. Then somebody in his wisdom declared a hosepipe ban
in the South East and the rain barely stopped for months. Every
previous year for quite some time our concern has been about the
state of the water table, soon that concern was over as so many
tables floated in ground floor rooms all over the country.
Well if such a declaration could cause such chaos all I can say
is that Defra could guarantee us a good summer by announcing a
huge programme of work on flood defences!
Remember!! You heard it first on this site!
