This
is a rather quaint little village, it claims to be the most northerly
village in Wales but I have not checked the claims on the map.
And why should I? Surely the locals know more than me!. You would
normally by-pass Cemaes
but that would be a shame, it is a colourful place with a pleasing
harbour and an enclosed bay.
It
also has a lifeboat that runs on oar-power named the Charles
Henry Ashley which has been fully restored and is now in commission.
These things don't happen without someone with vision and an enthusiastic
and persistent band of supporters. Very much like those busy people
at Swtan. The world would be a very plain and boring place without
them!
