Its a Breeze!

Yes, its a breeze, or so the owner of this boat claims. He has named it 'Awel' (you'll have to take my word for it as yellow letters on green do not do not provide sufficient contrast for easy reading) this means 'Breeze'. Behind is the Penmaenpool toll bridge, built in 1879 to cater for a totally different form of carriage. The bridge further down at Barmouth serves the railway, cyclists and walkers but the poor motorist has a 15 mile journey to get to the other side. Using the toll bridge 4 miles can be saved with the added attraction of a bit of excitement as the boarded roadway rumbles beneath the car wheels.
