So on I leisurely
went on this track which wasn't Tarmaced but had a very acceptable
surface, exchanging nods with other cyclists who were appreciating
the warmth of the day and the delightful Welsh scenery, single
cyclists only warranted one nod but tandems deserve two, I was
dreading seeing someone on a three wheeler in case my head fell
off!. When you think back to the pre Beeching days when there
was a regular service on this route you can't help thinking that
Wales has lost a substantial attraction. We still have our coastal
line though that starts its shoreline journey at the mouth of
the Dovey estuary, crosses the Mawddach before it enters Barmouth
and follows the coast all the way to Pwllheli, quite a journey.
You can catch that
train in Shrewsbury.
