I eventually came to civilisation but all the decent gates were clearly and forcefully marked 'PRIVATE' which gave me no option but to push the bike along a narrow footpath which to my great relief brought me to the cycle track proper. I couldn't understand how I could have gone wrong and I was tempted to cycle on it towards Fairbourne just to satisfy my curiosity but common sense prevailed and now the cycling became a real pleasure. I passed this little bay here and stopped to eat my sandwiches and enjoy the view.
